Oracle Data Access Components is a collection of components that provide native connectivity to Oracle from Delphi or C++Builder, including Community Edition. It also includes Lazarus (and Free Pascal), on Windows, Linux and macOS, iOS, Android, and Android for 32-bit and 64 bit platforms. ODAC is a library that helps programmers create native Oracle database applications faster and more efficiently.
ODAC is a high-performance, feature-rich Oracle connectivity solution that can be used in place of the Borland Database Engine, (BDE), and standard dbExpress driver. It offers both native Oracle data access and direct Oracle client access.
